Profile Walkthrough Guide Welcome to the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians walkthrough guide, a valuable resource designed to help you optimize your user profile and guide you through any questions or obstacles you may encounter while setting up your profile.

Menu

MY ACCOUNT MENU
The “My Account” menu is available by clicking the little person icon in the left-hand navigation menu.



​For Program Directors and State EMS users, the “My Account” menu can be accessed by clicking the “My Account” button in the left-hand navigation menu.  

ROLES
Manage Roles is now available by clicking the gear icon in the left-hand navigation menu next to “My Roles”  


Users can add roles or set a specific role to default to when logging in.  


Personal Profile

The Personal Profile contains personal and account information.  
PERSONAL
This section displays and allows users to update their name and Date of Birth. It also displays the last 4 digits of the social security number associated with that account.  

​​​​Full Name 

Displays the user’s full name, including any added Prefix or Suffix. Their Preferred Name will appear after the full name in parentheses.  

  • Click the "Change Name" link to access the Change Name screen.  

  • Users can attach documentation for Significant Name Changes  

  • Name Change History is available 


Date of Birth 

  • Click the "Update Date of Birth" link to update the Date of Birth associated with this account.  

ACCOUNT
This section displays and allows users to update their username, allows users to update their password and see the EMS ID associated with their account. 

Username 

Displays the current username associated with the account. 

  • Click the “Change Username” link to update the username associated with the account 


Password 

Current password is masked from the display.  

  • Click the “Change Password” link to update the password associated with the account 


EMS ID 

  • Click the “View Alternate EMS ID" link to view the (Primary) EMS ID and Alternate EMS IDs, as well as more information on EMS ID and the circumstances under which an account can have more than one EMS ID associated.

CONTACT

Phone 

  • Click the “Manage” link to update and/or add a Primary or Secondary phone number, and to opt into receiving SMS/text messages from the National Registry. Note: Currently, text messaging is not supported in the NREMT systems, but implementation is planned for the near future.  


Email 

TRAINING OFFICER
Accounts with the Training Officer role will see the Training Officer section.  


Agency Affiliations  

Displays all agencies that the account is affiliated with as a Training Officer and the status of the affiliation. This information is also available on the Training Officer dashboard. 

  • Click “Manage Affiliations” to manage Training Officer affiliations.  

 

  • Click the “Edit” link to update and/or add a Primary or Secondary email address.  


Mailing Address 

This address must match the address on the government identification presented to Pearson VUE when taking an exam. 

  • Click the “Edit” link to update the mailing address.  

DEMOGRAPHICS
Demographic information is optional.   

Click the “Edit” link to update demographic information 

Note: Users can select multiple responses under the “Race” section, but only one under Gender or Ethnicity.  


Professional Profile 

The Professional Profile combines information previously available in the Professional Bio and under Account Settings. Page sections are guided by role, and users will only be able to see information and functionality for their role(s). 
EMS PROFESSIONAL
Accounts with the EMS Professional role will see the EMS Professional section.  

Click the “Edit” link to edit the Provider Info questionnaire. 


Agency Affiliations 

Displays all agencies that the account is affiliated with as an EMS Professional and the status of the affiliation.    

  • Click the “Manage Affiliations” link to manage EMS Professional affiliation status(es).  


State Licenses 

Displays any State License information that the user has input. 

  • Click the “Manage State License” link to add, edit or remove EMS Professional State License information.

VOLUNTEER
Accounts with the Volunteer role will see the Volunteer section.  

Click the “Review/Edit Volunteer Questionnaire” link to edit the Volunteer Registration Questionnaire.  


Volunteer Interests 

Any options that the user selected on the question “I am interested in participating in the following volunteer initiatives” will appear here.  

STATE EMS OFFICE

Accounts with the State EMS Office role will see the State EMS Office section.  

Click the “Manage State Profile/Contact Information” link to go to the State of Employment’s State Profile page under the State EMS Official role. 

Click the “Manage State Users” link to go to the Manage State Users page under the State EMS Official role. 

 

State of Employment 

Displays the State for which the account has been approved as a State EMS Official.


State Office Role 

Displays any State Office role(s) for which the account has been approved.  

 

MEDICAL DIRECTOR

Accounts with the Medical Director role will see the Medical Director section.  


Agency Affiliations  

Displays all agencies that the account is affiliated with as a Medical Director and the status of the affiliation. This information is also available on the Medical Director dashboard. 

  • Click “Manage Affiliations” to manage Medical Director affiliations.  

PROGRAM DIRECTOR

Accounts with the Program Director role will see the Program Director section.  

  • Click the “Program Profile” link to go to the Existing EMS Education Programs page under the Program Director role. 

  • Click the “Program Sections” link to go to the Manage EMS Education Program Sections page under the Program Director role. 

  • Click the “Authorization Request Status” link to go to the EMS Education Program Request Status page under the Program Director role. 

  • Click the “Request for Program Authorization” link to go to the Request for EMS Education Program Authorization page under the Program Director role. 
     

EXAM COORDINATOR

Accounts with the Exam Coordinator role will see the Exam Coordinator section.  

Click the “Associate yourself with an Existing Exam Host” link to go to the Exam Host Preferences page under the Exam Coordinator Role 
 

 

Payments and Shipping

The Payments and Shipping page stores all payment methods and shipping addresses associated with the account. All Payment and Shipping information is securely submitted and stored by Authorize.net.  
 

PAYMENT METHODS


Click the “Add Payment Method” to add a new Credit/Debit Card or Bank Account.  

Click the “Edit” link next to any individual saved payment method to edit or remove it.  

 

SHIPPING ADDRESSES


Click the “Add Shipping Address” link to add a new shipping address 

Click the “Edit” link next to any individual saved shipping address to edit or remove it.   

 

ORDER HISTORY

The Order History Page stores previous order information and invoices in a convenient list view. Most recent orders will appear on top.  


Click the “Order Details” link to view more comprehensive information about an order. 


​​​​​​Click the “View Invoice” link to view the Invoice attached to an order.
