In some states it is possible to have a lapsed, expired, or inactive NREMT credential and a valid state issued EMS license. To verify an individual's license to practice, you must contact the State EMS Office.
Note: Provisional certification has the same training requirements and cognitive examination as the full certification, but there is no independent psychomotor examination or verification of BLS skills. State EMS Offices may require supervision or practice limitation be considered because the psychomotor exam was not fully completed.
